Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable Local Delivery Driver to join our team. You'll drive a 26' straight box truck on local routes — no over-the-road travel, home every day. This is a hands-on driving role: in addition to driving, you'll load and unload your truck (palletized product and liquid totes), pump liquid product from totes at customer sites, and unload used totes back at our warehouse at the end of each day to stage for the next day's deliveries. Because we transport placarded hazardous materials and bulk liquid totes, a Class B CDL (or higher) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is required.
Responsibilities And Duties
· Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials
· Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
· Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment services when required
· Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading position, and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned
· Secure cargo for transportation
· Read bill of lading to determine assignment details
· Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the vehicles
· Maintain a clean environment in the inside and outside of the truck
· Conduct Pre-Trip inspection of the vehicle
· Placard vehicle as needed
· Fuel vehicle as needed
· Maintain CDL requirements
· Maintain Safety training
· Maintain HAZMAT training
· Maintain DOT & FMCSA transportation guidelines
· Assists with related special projects as required
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Pay: From $32.00 per hour
