Rapid Emergency Management will be hosting a S-130 red card class and pack test. If you are interested in deploying for wildfires, you must complete the on-line courses listed below prior to being scheduled for the pack test. The pack test will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah. Flight, hotel, and class cost are paid for by us.

You must be available to deploy immediately after class, and have no limitations to work through the end of November.
Rapid Emergency Management (REM) is seeking contract Paramedics that are interested in deploying on ambulances to support wildfire efforts in Oregon, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California and throughout the USA as needed. You will be deployed on an ambulance with an EMT and provide medical support to the wildland fire crews.
You must be certified in:
- Introduction to ICS (I-100)
- Firefighter Training (S-130)
- Introduction to Wildland Fire (S-190)
- NIMS: An Introduction (IS-700)
- Annual Fireline Safety Refresher (RT-130)
- Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service (L-180)
This position requires a physical test:
- Passed the Pack Test at the Arduous Level (Walk 3 miles in under 45 minutes with a 45lb Pack).
MUST BE Nationally Registered!
- National Registry Paramedic
Must be able to pass background check & have a clean driving record.
This is a contract "on call" position. Paramedics are paid $4,200-$6,300/week for this assignment, assignments can last 14 days up to 30 days, and even longer!
Rapid Emergency Management has other contracting opportunities throughout the year with if candidate would like to apply within. Once onboarded, you will be able to work within any of our contracting opportunities.
Recruit (0-30 days of deployment experience)
Paramedic - $600/day
EMT - $500/day
Once a recruit has 30 days of deployment experience (excluding R&R) they will upgrade to the first year rate effective the following pay period.
First Year Rate
Paramedic - $750/day
EMT - $620/day
After 1 season of experience: (bid your rate)
Paramedic - $750-$850/day
EMT - $620-$690/day
After 1 season of working exclusively with us (loyalty reward, bid your rate)
Paramedic - $800-$900/day
EMT - $670-$740/day
If you complete a 14 or 21 day deployment, and go on R&R, we will pay you for your R&R days at the normal daily rate along with housing, as long as you complete an additional 14 days immediately following your R&R.
We pay for all travel. Pay is direct deposit, W2, weekly! Pay every Friday!
