Planning Analysis and Reporting Senior Accountant
Location: Meridian, ID (100% Onsite)
Pay: $70,000 annually
Duration: Direct Hire / Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with some flexibility
Position Summary
The Planning Analysis and Reporting Senior Accountant will support key accounting and financial planning functions, combining general ledger accounting knowledge with financial planning and analysis responsibilities. This role will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and providing financial insights that support strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, advanced analytical skills, and experience in manufacturing, construction, or project-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial performance metrics to support business decision-making.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities, including maintaining and monitoring a 13-week cash flow forecast.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes by reviewing account reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger activity to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Develop financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools utilizing Excel and Power BI to provide actionable business insights.
- Collaborate with finance leadership, operational teams, and external auditors to strengthen internal controls, improve reporting processes, and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting and/or financial planning and analysis experience.
- Experience within manufacturing, construction, or project-based accounting environments preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Power BI reporting and data visualization.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Pay: $70,000.00 per year
