Part-Time Accompanist
First United Methodist Church – Brevard, North Carolina
First United Methodist Church of Brevard, located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, seeks a choral accompanist to serve our music ministries.
Our congregation averages around 200 multi-generational worshippers each Sunday, united by our mission:

Status: Part-time
Supervised By: Director of Music and Lead Pastor
Primary Responsibilities:
- Follow Safe Sanctuary Guidelines
- Accompany choir on piano and, preferably, organ during rehearsals and services
- Accompany other service music and ensembles (instrumental, children’s, youth) as needed
- Substitute for the Director of Music
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience as a choral accompanist and/or a degree in Music
- Collaborative spirit and willingness to play a variety of music
- Experience in Methodist hymnody and liturgy preferred
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $550 per month (estimated $35 per hour)
