Greenfield Construction Manager

$28.00 - $30.00 hourly
TELICS is currently seeking an experienced Greenfield Construction Manager in the Charlotte market area. Previous experience in Telecommunications required.
Responsibilities:
-Oversee the end-to-end planning, permitting, and building brand-new fiber optic networks in developing areas ("greenfield").
-Pre Construction meetings
-Monitor active construction projects to ensure adherence to G-Fiber Standards.
-Conduct final walkout, identify non-conforming items, and publish as a project punch list. Monitor and report on the vendor’s resolutions.
-Verify as-builts and ensure documentation of any changes to the Plans and Specifications, including Google Fiber Standards, in vendor’s Close-Out Package.
-Prepare and provide daily reports summarizing verification of construction progress, detailing location, production, onsite reviews and identification of issues.
-Consult with G-Fiber to determine and control workflow of construction and project coordinators.
-Keep the G-Fiber Team and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations.
-Investigate construction incidents and report findings and resolutions to G-Fiber.
-Attend meetings on G-Fiber’s behalf, take meeting minutes, track action Items, track risks, and provide reports in mutually agreed format.
-Consult with G-Fiber for additional scope as needed.
Education/Experience/Skills Desired:
-Minimum of 2+ years' experience as a Construction Manager in Greenfield
-Experience with CAT 5, CAT6 and fiber optics
-Framing knowledge, wire runs, in progress construction sites
-Strong Computer Skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook and Google Suite)
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
-Ability to effectively speak, communicate and present information to customers, vendors or employees of the organization and management
-Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver's license
-Drug Test, DMV Check and Background Check Required
