Job Overview
BlueLux is hiring reliable Pool Route Technicians for residential pool service routes across North County San Diego, including Rancho Santa Fe, Encinitas, Carmel Valley, Carlsbad, Escondido, and nearby areas.
This is outdoor, route-based pool service work. Technicians are paid based on completed pool visits and approved add-on services. We are looking for dependable people who can show up consistently, work independently, follow service standards, and leave every pool clean, safe, and properly serviced.
Compensation
- Weekly pool service: $15 per completed pool visit
- Filter cleans: $50 per completed filter clean
- Salt cell cleans: $15 per completed salt cell clean
- Repairs and specialty services: paid per approved job based on the work performed
Typical route days range from $150 to $275+ depending on assigned route size, completed work, service quality, and availability of add-on jobs.
Filter cleans, salt cell cleans, repairs, and specialty services are paid in addition to regular pool service.
Vehicle Options
A reliable service vehicle is required for this work.
Technicians may use their own truck or service vehicle if it is suitable for pool service work.
For qualified technicians, a BlueLux company service vehicle may be available for assigned routes. Company vehicle access depends on route needs, driving record, reliability, and adherence to BlueLux vehicle-use rules.
Responsibilities
- Service residential swimming pools on an assigned route
- Skim, brush, vacuum as needed, empty baskets, and clean pool areas
- Test and adjust pool water chemistry
- Add required chemicals according to BlueLux service standards
- Inspect pool equipment and report problems
- Complete service logs, photos, notes, and readings in the BlueLux service app
- Perform filter cleans, salt cell cleans, and approved add-on services when assigned
- Communicate professionally and respectfully at customer homes
- Follow safety standards when handling chemicals, tools, and pool equipment
Requirements
- Prior residential pool service experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean and safe driving habits
- Reliable transportation or ability to qualify for a company service vehicle
- Smartphone required for app-based service logging
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Attention to detail
- Professional communication
- Reliable, consistent, and able to work independently
- CPO certification is a plus, but not required

Schedule
Weekday route work. Route assignments and start times may vary by area, customer needs, and service schedule.
