Position Title: Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Upland Hills Health - Home Health Services
Role & Department: Staff Certified Nursing Assistant in the Upland Hills Health Home Health Services Department
Hours & Shift: Part-time (.6 FTE) day shift position, Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; rotation of weekends and holidays
Role Responsibilities:
- The Home Health/Hospice Aide is a Certified Nursing Assistant that works under the supervision of a nurse performing selected duties that do not involve skilled nursing or require nursing judgment
- These duties include palliative, supportive, supplementary and complementary to nursing practice
- The Certified Nursing Assistant will see only patients assigned by the nurse coordinating the care of the patient
- Home Health/Hospice Certified Nursing Assistants may see both Home Health and Hospice patients in their homes or area health care facilities as are needed
Qualifications:
Must have completed a Nursing Assistant Program or its certified counterpart and have a valid nursing assistant certification with the Division of Health and be on the State and Federal Registries
Candidates must have a reliable car available during working hours or accessibility to dependable transportation
Must have a good driving record and active Wisconsin Driver’s License. Driving in an essential function of the job and must remain insurable.
Must have a caring personality and excellent communication skills
Prefer prior Nursing Assistant experience in an institution or in a home care/hospice setting
Experience with EMR's is preferred
Previous experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software programs is beneficial
