Languages Needed
We are actively hiring interpreters and translators for the following languages:
- Spanish
- Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
- Korean
- Vietnamese
- Arabic
- Persian (Farsi / Dari / Pashto preferred)
- Tagalog
- African Languages (Amharic, Swahili, Igbo, Yoruba, etc.)
- Indic Languages (Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil)
- Additional Asian, Middle Eastern, African, and European languages
Applicants fluent in additional languages and dialects are strongly encouraged to apply.
Position ResponsibilitiesInterpretation Services
Provide language support in a variety of settings, including:
- Phone interpretation
- Video remote interpretation
- On-site/in-person interpretation
- Meetings and interviews
- Community events
- Public service interactions
- Business communications
Responsibilities include:
- Interpreting spoken communication accurately between English and target language
- Ensuring clear and culturally appropriate communication
- Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Supporting communication in both formal and informal settings
Translation Services
Provide written translation and language support for:
- Letters and correspondence
- Forms and applications
- Business documents
- Public information materials
- Reports and general communications
Responsibilities include:
- Translating written content accurately while preserving meaning
- Reviewing documents for clarity and consistency
- Providing sight translation when needed
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English and at least one additional language
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
- Professionalism and cultural awareness
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous interpretation or translation experience
- Certification or formal language training preferred
- Experience working in community, business, healthcare, legal, or public service settings
- Knowledge of interpretation ethics and standards
Preferred certifications include:
- NAJIT (National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators)
- ATA (American Translators Association)
