JOB REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED CRITERIA:
- NJ Teacher of the Handicapped Certification/P-3 Teacher of Disabilities
- Minimum of two years experience teaching students with autism at the elementary level
- Ability to implement Behavior Intervention Plans representing Best Practice
- Ability to develop and implement continuous progress data collection
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis as it applies to the delivery of instruction
- Ability to adapt district curriculum for this population of students
- Ability to supervise and provide direction for specialized instructional assistants
- Knowledge of using iPads and Smart Boards in the instructional process for autistic students
- Ability to differentiate the needs of autistic students
PREFERRED CRITERIA:
- Knowledge of Tools of the Mind Curriculum
