Job Description
Happy Kids Daycare Center is looking for a dependable and organized Part-Time Cook to prepare meals and snacks for children 12 months to 5 years old. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys cooking, working independently, and being part of a supportive childcare environment.
The ideal candidate will help maintain a clean kitchen, follow CACFP meal guidelines, and ensure meals are prepared safely and on schedule each day.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks
- Follow CACFP meal patterns and portion requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen
- Wash dishes and kitchen equipment
- Organize and store food properly
- Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs
- Follow allergy and food safety procedures
- Must be able to complete CACFP meal count forms, production records, and related kitchen paperwork accurately
Qualifications
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently
- Comfortable in a childcare setting
- Kitchen or food service experience preferred, but willing to train the right person
- Must pass required background clearances
Pay
$16.50 per hour
