Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented aluminum Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in fitting and assembly processes. This role requires proficiency in various tools and techniques to ensure the accurate assembly of components, contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of our production operations.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and assembly requirements.
- Utilize plasma cutting techniques for precise material shaping and preparation.
- Employ FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) methods for joining metal components securely.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accurate fittings.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled parts to verify compliance with specifications.
- Operate forklifts safely to transport materials within the work area as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve assembly processes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using various tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fitting tasks.
- Experience in soldering techniques is a plus for specific assembly requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
- Previous experience working with rigging systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
