Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, vans, and tankers across regional and OTR routes
- Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency
- Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any issues promptly
- Handle logistics cargo efficiently, including dangerous goods or hazardous materials when applicable
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with proven experience in commercial truck driving
- Familiarity with trip planning and HOS
- HazMat and Tanker Endorsement
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols
- Strong commitment to safety standards and excellent driving record
