Duties
- Safely operate various vehicles including box trucks and courier vans to transport items across designated routes.
- Load and unload furniture, equipment, and other cargo using manual lifting techniques or equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Assist customers with moving items into or out of residences or commercial spaces, providing courteous and professional service.
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries and pickups while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate loading/unloading schedules and address any logistical challenges promptly.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs to ensure safety standards are met at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving or moving services with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Strong knowledge of route driving, warehouse operations, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks with manual transmission confidently.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Physical stamina for manual lifting, loading, unloading, and moving heavy items safely.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a courier or <PERSON> driver is highly desirable. Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
