Civil Development Superintendent / Owner’s Representative
Eminent Constructions is seeking an experienced Civil Development Superintendent / Owner’s Representative to oversee the development of a new 77–78 lot residential subdivision in Bryant, Arkansas.
This individual will serve as the owner’s field representative, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all civil subcontractors
- Oversee clearing, grading, utilities, paving, and concrete work
- Review construction plans and specifications
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and testing agencies
- Attend inspections with city officials and utility providers
- Monitor schedule and identify delays before they impact the project
- Review subcontractor invoices and progress before payment
- Assist with bidding and subcontractor selection
- Maintain daily project documentation and progress reports
- Identify and resolve field issues
- Protect the owner’s interests throughout construction
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the owner during the development process
Qualifications
- 10+ years of civil construction or land development experience (15–20+ preferred)
- Proven experience delivering residential subdivision infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of earthwork, utilities, drainage, paving, and municipal standards
- Ability to read civil engineering plans and specifications
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience working directly with municipalities and utility providers
Preferred
- Experience in Central Arkansas
- Existing relationships with civil subcontractors and suppliers
- Experience with owner-side representation
- Knowledge of subdivision development from raw land through final acceptance
Compensation
Competitive salary or consulting arrangement based on experience.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
