American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring Epic experience and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

Work setting is a 629-bed short-term acute care hospital, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
-
Unit is Labor & Delivery within an academic teaching hospital
-
Patient population includes high-risk labor cases: antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
-
Patient ratios: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3
-
Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Some weekend shifts required
-
No on-call required
-
Block scheduling is not required
-
Floating between units and across facilities within the state is expected

Charting is done via Epic (experience required)

Active WA state RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required

Experience with high-risk labor and delivery required, including antepartum care, pre-eclampsia, VBAC/TOLAC, and maternal emergencies

Epic EMR experience required

At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Provide active management of laboring patients, including induction/augmentation and response to maternal emergencies

All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
-
Former permanent staff at this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
-
Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility if they are a returning former permanent employee

Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
