Overview

In this role, you will perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, plumbing, and related mechanical equipment. Responsibilities
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Conduct plumbing repairs and maintenance related to HVAC systems such as condensate drainage or water supply lines.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for component repairs when necessary.
- Diagnose complex mechanical problems using mechanical knowledge and field service techniques; repair or replace faulty components promptly.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed; communicate effectively with team members and clients about system status and recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installation and property maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Hands-on experience with appliance repair, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems relevant to HVAC applications; experience with welding is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with field service experience; ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using tools like ohmmeters.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers or similar vehicles preferred.
- Strong communication skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
- Certifications or training in HVAC/R technology are highly desirable; ongoing professional development encouraged.

Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour
