American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Ortho RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

>Medical Surgical Combination unit within a 167-bed Level III Trauma Center hospital

Specializes in Ortho, Post-Operative, and Med/Surg care
-
Common diagnoses include post-operative joint, bariatric, and GI patients as well as trauma cases
-
Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients aged 13 and older
-
Patient ratios range from 4-6:1 across 23 beds
-
Uses Meditech EHR system
-
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
-
Weekend coverage required every third weekend
-
No on-call requirements
-
Floating required as needed
-
>Active RN license (TN or compact) required

Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

ASN degree required

Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to start

Strong assessment skills preferred

Teamwork and customer service skills required

>Provide care for post-operative joint, bariatric, GI, and trauma patients on a combined Med/Surg-Ortho unit

Facility is a 167-bed, Level III Trauma Center accredited by The Joint Commission

Scrubs may be any color; T-shirts must display hospital logo and acrylic nails are not permitted

Weekly orientation held on Mondays

Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment

Hardworking, compassionate candidates who are willing to ask questions are preferred
