Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to join our team and ensure our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
- Conduct routine janitorial duties such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Execute floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve the quality and appearance of flooring surfaces.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, utilizing specialized equipment for large-scale or heavy-duty cleaning projects.
- Support facilities maintenance activities by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or structural issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness standards during shift changes by ensuring all areas are tidy and organized before leaving the premises.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or residential settings.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures and equipment used in large-scale facilities maintenance.
- Ability to perform residential painting tasks when needed to support property upkeep.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness in all cleaning activities.
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts.
