Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
Provide dysphagia management and recommend safe diet textures and strategies as appropriate
Collaborate with nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and physicians
Educate patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed
Qualifications
Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Nebraska (or eligibility for licensure)
Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
Experience in skilled nursing or subacute rehab preferred; new graduates welcome
Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
Patient-centered, collaborative approach to care
