Customer Service Representative (Temporary – Maternity Leave Coverage)

Position Summary
Eagle 1 Products, a small, family-owned metal roofing supply company, is seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Customer Service Representative to provide maternity leave coverage for approximately 2–4 months.
This position serves as the first point of contact for our customers and plays a vital role in keeping our office running smoothly. The ideal candidate is comfortable talking on the phone throughout the day, enjoys helping customers, communicates professionally, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
While this role includes a variety of office duties, the primary responsibility is answering incoming customer phone calls and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer phone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
- Assist customers with product questions, pricing, stock availability, and estimated lead times.
- Enter customer orders accurately over the phone.
- Respond to customer emails as needed.
- Take detailed and accurate customer messages for follow-up when necessary.
- Learn our product catalog across multiple e-commerce websites to confidently assist customers.
- Assist with general office tasks including invoicing, filing, and other administrative duties.
- Work closely with other office and warehouse staff to ensure excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience is required.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a professional phone presence.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced office environment.
- Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous office or administrative experience.
- Experience answering multi-line phone systems.
- Experience with order entry, invoicing, or general office work.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, construction, or building materials is a plus, but not required.

About the Position
This is a temporary position covering a maternity leave for approximately 2–4 months. Paid training will be provided before the leave begins to ensure the successful candidate is comfortable with our products, systems, and daily office operations.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
