The Storyhive is an established Houston-based video production company looking for a part-time Assistant Video Editor to join our post-production team.
This is an in-office role focused on preparing projects for editing. You’ll work with footage, interviews, audio, graphics and client-provided assets - helping build clean projects and keep work moving through post-production.
We’re looking for someone with solid editing basics who is highly organized, reliable and genuinely wants to learn and grow as an editor.
Responsibilities
— Prepare and organize projects for post-production, including footage, audio, graphics and client-provided assets
— Create selects, assemblies and other supporting edits, and assist with revisions, exports and graphics preparation
— Handle media transfers, backups and project wrap while helping maintain reliable post-production systems
What We’re Looking For
— Highly organized, reliable and detail-oriented
— Basic video editing experience and familiarity with DaVinci Resolve and/or Adobe Premiere Pro
— Comfortable following workflows, managing priorities and gradually taking on more editing responsibility
Schedule
— 18 hours per week
— Tuesday–Thursday, 9am–3pm
— In office, with potential for additional hours based on project needs
Pay
$22–$26/hour depending on experience
This role has the potential to grow into more editing responsibility and possibly a full-time position based on workload, performance and fit.
