Job Summary:
Operates Computed Tomography (CT) equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation. Performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT, general radiography, and fluoroscopy, while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
### Job Requirements
**Education and Work Experience:**
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
**Licenses/Certifications:**
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT): Required
- Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Fluoroscopy license (where required): Required
- Advanced CT Certification (ARRT-CT): Preferred
- Venipuncture certification: Preferred
### Essential Functions
- Performs Computed Tomography (CT) examinations and other diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Performs general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures as required.
- Assesses and monitors patients before, during, and after imaging procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
- Produces high-quality diagnostic images, including post-processing and image reconstruction when applicable.
- Transfers images using PACS and other imaging systems for physician interpretation.
- Maintains accurate patient records, documentation, and billing information.
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.
- Performs routine equipment maintenance, quality assurance checks, and inventory management.
- Adheres to radiation safety and infection prevention protocols.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
