The Barnyard Crafthouse & Eatery is seeking candidates for a Sous Chef/Assistant Chef in Tucson, Arizona.
Summary of Position: Responsible for the daily operations of business. Including Back of House, cooking line, and expo areas, interacting with guests and staff, and adhering to overall standards of quality across the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of culinary principles, ingredients, flavors, and flavor profiles. Also plating, presentation, and visual balance and appeal.
-Will be responsible for entire Back of House area.
-Responsible for maintaining standards for service, product quality, sanitation, safety, and operations.
-Monitoring staff levels, scheduling, ordering product, inventory, and training of staff both inside and outside of your designated area of responsibility.
-Interact with guests to ensure our high standards of satisfaction are met.
-Communicate with other management team members and employees regarding execution of operational standards.
-Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
-Must be at least 21 years of age.
-Possess as least 2+ years of management experience (preferred).
-Possess 2+ years of restaurant experience.
-Have basic math skills and be able to understand POS system software.
-Able to work 50+ hours per week.
-Physical ability to bend, reach, and lift 40+ pounds.
Skills:
-Both written and verbal communication.
-Customer relations and customer service.
-Basic financial and budgeting.
-Basic computer and technology
