Experience
Candidates should bring a strong background in assisted living or long-term care environments, ideally with experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities. Prior exposure to nursing home settings or residential care homes is highly valued. Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care, dementia management, and geriatrics will enhance your ability to deliver compassionate support. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; experience operating Hoyer lifts or other patient transfer devices is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks is essential. Prior work involving medication administration, vital signs monitoring, or home & community care will be considered advantageous. Full job description
We are seeking full and part time employees for its Day Service Center in Terre Haute. Must have high school diploma/GED, no criminal history and an insurable driving record
The Center DSP is responsible for the supervision of activities and the training of individuals as prescribed by each individual’s Person Centered Individual Support Plan (PCISP) and informal training.
Duties not limited to but include
- Provide for quality programs and services, ethical treatment of individuals, and protection of their rights and dignity as persons.
- Promote and provide individuals with opportunities for community integration, independence, normalization, and least restrictive placement, through individualized program implementation.
- Implement all Individual Plans in coordination with the Adult Program / Service Coordinator.
- Provide group and/or individual instruction to individuals utilizing curriculums developed for training.
- Provide group and /or individual instruction, within the facility, community and/or individual’s living environment, to accommodate achieving identified goals and objectives.
- Provide appropriate curriculum to individuals when assigned material is complete.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
