We are currently looking for a working earthwork and utility superintendent to oversee a team of talented equipment operators, pipelayers, and laborers on various and unique commercial construction sites and projects.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
The Earthwork and Utility Foreman is responsible to plan, direct, and coordinate the activities and personnel for the installation of underground utility pipelines, for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. This position directly supervises and coordinates the day to day activities of the earthwork and utility crews, and is in control of examining and inspecting the work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
This is a working supervisory position. Candidate must be willing to get in the trenches with the team! This position manages and provides assistance with the grading of trenches by equipment or by hand. Also responsible to mentor, train, and work alongside crews operating equipment, and/or performing labor work to complete construction projects safely and within contract requirements.
The Earthwork and Utility Foreman is responsible to ensure that highest quality standards for workmanship and safety are adhered to and met with the inspection of all phases of work for defects. This position is responsible for collaborating with operations and project management teams to discuss and resolve matters affecting the project and its completion. Other responsibilities include completing and submitting daily job reports and other paperwork as required, and all other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
* Minimum 5-10 years underground utility experience
* Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
* Expertise operating all types of heavy equipment in a commercial construction environment (excavator, front end loader, backhoe, skid steer, etc.)
* Proficiency in the reading and understanding of blueprints and job specifications, as well as the ability and knowledge in the application of same
* Impeccable safety record
* Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
* Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
* Advanced knowledge of civil utility installation
Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
