As a Substance Use Treatment Services (SUTS) Coordinator, you'll provide compassionate support to adults overcoming substance use and mental health challenges as they rebuild their lives. Every conversation, every group, and every act of encouragement can help someone take the next step toward recovery.
What You'll Do to Change Lives
As a SUTS Coordinator, you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to create a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment. You'll build trusting relationships with residents, encourage progress toward recovery goals, and help individuals navigate one of the most important transitions of their lives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide daily support, coaching, and encouragement to residents.
- Facilitate recovery-focused groups and activities.
- Coordinate care with clinicians, medical providers, family members, and criminal justice partners.
- Assist with appointments, transportation, and community resources.
- Promote a positive treatment experience while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.
In Voluntary Residential Substance Use Treatment Programs, the term "member" refers to "resident" in accordance with California Title 9.
About the Program
The Muriel Wright Recovery Center is an ASAM Level 3.1 residential substance use treatment program serving adults transitioning from incarceration into the community. Operated in partnership with Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services, the program uses evidence-based practices including Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT), Motivational Interviewing, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), relapse prevention, and recovery-focused group programming to help residents achieve lasting recovery.

Compensation
$2,500 Sign On
Telecare applies geographic differentials based on work location. Starting pay is determined by relevant experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT) approved by DHCS
- Experience working with, volunteering with, or demonstrated sensitivity toward behavioral health and multicultural populations
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Minimum age of 18
- CPR, CPI, and First Aid certification upon hire or within 60 days of employment
- Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and willingness to transport residents using a company vehicle
- Ability to successfully complete all required background checks, health screenings, and licensing requirements
