Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that promote literacy, numeracy, social-emotional skills, and physical development, incorporating Montessori methods and other educational philosophies.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support childhood development milestones, including toddler care and early intervention techniques.
- Manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior to ensure a safe and organized learning space.
- Assess student progress through observation, standardized testing, and informal evaluations; communicate findings with parents and guardians effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that incorporate physical education, arts, and other enrichment activities.
- Maintain detailed records of student development, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with childcare standards and private school requirements.
- Support children’s welfare by fostering inclusive practices that accommodate special education needs and promote child welfare principles.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in preschool or daycare settings is essential; experience with toddlers is highly valued.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Experience developing curriculum content focused on literacy education, math skills, and classroom management.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early learners and effective tutoring methods for young children.
- Background working within private schools or Montessori environments is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development in childhood development or special education is encouraged.
