Job Summary
Mr. Kitchen Home Design is seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Interior Designer Assistant to support our design and sales team.
This position is ideal for someone with experience or education in interior design, drafting, cabinetry, architecture, or a related field. The Interior Designer Assistant will help prepare drawings with detailed elevations, take accurate site measurements, create realistic 3-D renderings presentations, organize material selections, and communicate with clients and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Assist interior designers with kitchen, bathroom, closet, and cabinetry projects
- Take accurate measurements at project sites
- Create floor plans, elevations, cabinet layouts, and technical drawings
- Prepare 3D renderings and client design presentations
- Assist with selecting cabinetry, countertops, hardware, finishes, and materials
- Update drawings and renderings based on designer or client feedback
- Organize project files, measurements, selections, and design documents
- Communicate with clients, vendors, installers, and project managers
- Help prepare estimates, proposals, and presentation materials
- Maintain material samples and help keep the showroom organized
- Follow up with clients regarding appointments, selections, and project information
- Review project details for accuracy before orders are submitted
Qualifications
- Education or experience in interior design, architectural drafting, cabinetry, or a related field
- Experience using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 2020 Design, Chief Architect, or similar software
- Ability to create drawings and 3D renderings
- Ability to take accurate measurements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Willingness to learn about kitchen design, cabinetry, countertops, and construction
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with kitchen or cabinetry design
- Experience working in a design showroom
- Knowledge of residential construction or remodeling
- Sales or customer service experience
- Bilingual English and Portuguese or English and Spanish is a plus

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
