Pay: $19.00-$21.00
No experience necessary, on the job training provided.
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for inspecting and bagging the product.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will include but are not limited to the following:
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment
· Inspect Product at each stage of the process ensuring high level of quality and consistent presentation.
· Always wear a hair (and beard if appropriate) hairnet and keep hands and uniforms clean.
· Follow duties and responsibilities for each specific role as assigned.
· 2nd shift helps tear down and sanitize the line at the end of the shift.
· This position may assist in deep cleaning of the production equipment on non-production days
Bagger:
· Confirm good seal on all heat seals per bag
· Build boxes and displays according to production list.
· Label completed cases and place completed pallet behind older product.
· Alert supervisor to any issues associated with metal detector or bagging machinery.
· Communicate professionally with Misys Specialist to keep cardboard par levels in production room and to move finished pallets to warehouse.
· Be trained in assembling pallet displays for future production needs.
· During downtimes and at end of shift perform required cleaning procedures.
Inspector (Sorter):
· Remove any undesirable product from inspection table (oil filled chips, burnt chips, raw chips, potato chunks and doubles).
· Watch for any foreign objects that may have fallen in chip totes. (Critical!)
· Immediately notify Quality or Supervisor if any product appears that is out of specification
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Previous experience in the food industry or a related field (preferred)
· Familiarity with CGMP and FDA regulations (preferred)
· Strong understanding of food safety and HACCP principles (preferred)
· Ability to operate machinery and equipment with mechanical knowledge (required)
· Experience with packaging and sanitizing equipment(preferred)
· Physical stamina to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment (required)
· Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and maintain effective communication(required)
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
· Must be able to lift and move at least 40 pounds.
· Must be able to wear a mask when working with strong seasonings.
· Must be able to work in an environment of extreme heat or cold.
· Must be able to work in a loud environment with the aid of ear protection.
