Jones Networking is recruiting for an Investigator to join a well-established Plaintiff Personal Injury Law Firm serving Virginia. This is a highly client-facing role responsible for meeting with prospective clients, evaluating potential claims, gathering critical information and documentation, and helping convert qualified prospects into clients. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a background in investigations, personal injury, law enforcement, or sales, and a passion for helping individuals during difficult situations.
This position requires local travel throughout the Richmond or Tidewater region and the use of a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided) so living in the Coastal Plain / Tidewater or Piedmont region would be ideal.
Personal Injury Investigator Responsibilities:
- Meet with prospective clients in-person to discuss potential personal injury claims and explain the Firm's services and representation process
- Build rapport quickly with potential clients and provide an exceptional client experience
- Screen and evaluate potential claims to determine whether they meet Firm criteria
- Gather information, evidence, and supporting documentation necessary to initiate new claims
- Obtain and review accident reports, incident reports, medical records, photographs, insurance information, declarations pages, contracts, authorizations, and other relevant documentation
- Conduct witness interviews and obtain recorded statements when appropriate
- Photograph injuries, property damage, accident scenes, and other relevant evidence
- Present and complete intake documents, representation agreements, authorizations, and other required legal forms
- Process new client paperwork in accordance with Firm procedures and compliance standards
- Coordinate closely with Intake Specialists, Attorneys, Paralegals, and Negotiators regarding case status and follow-up needs
- Maintain accurate appointment schedules, calendars, and activity records
- Ensure appointments with prospective clients are scheduled within 24-48 hours of intake
- Provide prompt follow-up regarding appointment outcomes and client decisions
- Maintain and utilize company equipment including computer, scanner, camera, printer, and mobile devices
- Remain available for occasional after-hours and weekend calls as needed
- Represent the Firm professionally at all times while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
Personal Injury Investigator Requirements:
- Prior experience in personal injury, legal services, law enforcement, investigations, claims, client relations, or outside sales is preferred
- Strong ability to build trust and establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to gather, analyze, and document information accurately
- Professional, empathetic, and customer-service-oriented demeanor
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally throughout assigned territory

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Work Location: Remote
