We are seeking a skilled and passionate Artisan Plasterer to join our team on a short-term, project-based W2 contract (approx. 1–2 months). In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality plaster finishes on a variety of surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and decorative architectural features. Your expertise will contribute to both new construction projects and renovation efforts, ensuring that each surface meets precise aesthetic and structural standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly through cleaning, sanding, and applying surface primers to ensure optimal adhesion for plastering.
- Mix and apply plaster materials with precision, utilizing hand tools such as trowels, hawks, and floats to achieve smooth, textured, or decorative finishes.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately execute design specifications and architectural details.
- Use power tools and conventional spraying equipment for large-scale or textured plaster applications, maintaining safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct restoration work by repairing damaged or deteriorated plaster surfaces during renovation projects.
- Efficiently manage project timelines and meet daily targets within the short-term contract window.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety regulations, including the use of respiratory protection and proper ladder use when working at heights.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plastering, stucco, microcement, tadelakt, limewash application, or related construction finishing roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Eligibility to work on a W2 basis (valid work authorization required).
- Immediate or near-immediate availability for a short-term assignment (1–2 months).
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints.
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respiratory masks and fall protection gear.
- Ability to work effectively with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), brushes, rollers, and other application equipment.
- Strong understanding of color theory for matching finishes and achieving desired visual effects in residential or commercial settings.
- Experience with renovation projects, restoration work, or remodeling is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for measuring materials accurately and calculating surface areas for coating applications.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with good physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing, climbing ladders, or working at heights.
