Position: Regional Sales Engineer
Employment Type: Full-time, exempt
Compensation: Salary plus commission role
CraneWerks is looking for a driven, customer-focused Regional Sales Engineer to help grow our presence in the North East and Mid-Atlantic region.
Territory: Eastern Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island.
In this role, you will build relationships with dealers, identify new opportunities, and support technical sales for turnkey overhead material handling solutions, including bridge cranes, runway systems, monorails, hoists, below the hook devices and other custom material handling solutions.
About the Role
As a Regional Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new business, supporting existing accounts, strengthening dealer partnerships, and helping customers find the right CraneWerks products and services for their needs.

Roles and Responsibilities
You will represent CraneWerks in the field through customer visits, jobsite assessments, sales meetings, dealer training, and company events.
- Grow sales within your assigned territory by developing new customers and expanding existing accounts.
- Find new opportunities: Identify prospective customers, dealers, and market opportunities through outreach, referrals, site visits, and relationship building.
- Support customers and dealers: Maintain strong relationships by understanding needs, providing timely support, and helping resolve questions or issues.
- Recommend solutions: Evaluate customer applications and recommend appropriate CraneWerks products and services.
- Coordinate quotes and proposals: Gather project requirements, support proposal development, and present solutions
- Manage the sales process: Communicate throughout design, fabrication, installation, invoicing, and project completion as needed.
- Keep records accurate: Maintain customer, dealer, activity, opportunity, and follow-up information in the company CRM system.
- Stay informed: Build product and industry knowledge related to CraneWerks offerings, competitors, industry trends, safety expectations, and customer needs.
- Represent the company professionally: Participate in sales meetings, product training, site visits, and company events.

What We’re Looking For
- Business-to-business sales experience, preferably in industrial, construction, manufacturing, material handling, or technical sales.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand parts, equipment layouts, and construction or application drawings.
- Strong relationship-building skills with dealers, internal teams, and suppliers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan territory activity, manage multiple opportunities, and follow through on commitments.
- Comfort using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated, organized, professional, and able to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required for the role.
Travel
This is a field-based sales position requiring regular travel throughout the assigned territory, with occasional travel for training and company meetings.
