In this Hardware Test & Quality Engineer opportunity, you’ll split your time between real-time hardware troubleshooting and the documentation and automation that turn findings into scalable processes.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Hardware Test & Quality Engineer position include:
- 1 to 5 years of experience in test engineering, manufacturing validation, or a quality lab environment
- 50/50 split between hands-on hardware troubleshooting and building formal engineering documentation, then helping automate the process
- Strong technical writing skills to author clear, concise engineering documentation, test protocols, and SOPs
- Familiarity with standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and electronic loads
- Basic communication protocol familiarity, such as RS-232 and Modbus
- Solid understanding of basic component-level troubleshooting (e.g., identifying issues with board-level components or circuit logic)
- Build and maintain automated test fixtures and support test execution for power supplies, NIDs, and battery backups
- Develop and maintain QC processes, calibration and measurement systems, and automated data-logging workflows using tools like Microsoft Power Automate and SharePoint
Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
