About the Role:
Hope for Kids Childcare Center in Duluth, MN is looking for a passionate and nurturing Preschool Teacher to join our dedicated team! Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood development goals
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment for preschool-aged children
- Monitor and document children's developmental progress and milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development and daily activities
- Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, and outdoor play
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a positive learning community
- Follow all childcare licensing regulations, health, and safety protocols
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with preschool or early childhood-aged children
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check per Minnesota childcare licensing requirements
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Warm, energetic, and child-centered approach to teaching
