Director of Partnerships
Location: Hybrid or On-Site within ProPT’s Northeast footprint | Up to 25% travel within current and future markets
Schedule: Full-Time | Exempt
Base Salary: $140,000–$170,000, commensurate with experience, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and strategic Director of Partnerships to join our Mergers & Acquisitions team. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this role will lead our Joint Venture Clinical Director program and support our health system partnership strategy. Working closely with clinical leaders, corporate teams, and executive leadership, the Director will develop new partnership opportunities, guide new clinic ventures from concept through launch, and strengthen relationships with current and future partners.

What You’ll Do-
Identify, recruit, and develop a strong pipeline of entrepreneurial physical and occupational therapists interested in clinic ownership and leadership through ProPT’s joint venture model.
- Partner with real estate, strategy, finance, clinical, and operational teams to evaluate target markets, assess site demographics, develop business plans, and present new clinic opportunities to executive leadership.
- Lead the transition from executed partnership agreements through successful clinic launches, managing priorities, timelines, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional alignment.
- Serve as the primary liaison for joint venture partners, providing ongoing support, addressing needs, and strengthening long-term engagement and retention.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with current and prospective health system partners, facilitating regular business reviews, monitoring performance, and identifying opportunities for expansion.
- Develop strategic relationships with physician groups, payers, employers, and other healthcare organizations that support ProPT’s continued growth.
What You’ll Bring-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- At least five years of progressive experience in healthcare business development, strategic partnerships, or growth, including at least three years in outpatient therapy, multi-site healthcare, health system partnerships, or a comparable healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems, outpatient therapy operations, and clinic economics.
- Executive presence with excellent presentation, relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including the ability to evaluate business cases and work effectively with financial models.
- Demonstrated project-management skills and the ability to lead multiple partnership initiatives across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and project-management tools.
- An entrepreneurial, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to build credibility and navigate opportunities from initial concept through execution.
Nice to Have-
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Clinical training or experience as a physical therapist, including a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
- Experience developing joint ventures, opening de novo clinics, or expanding multi-site healthcare operations.
