Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to oversee our quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management systems, including AS9100, ISO 9001, or NADCAP AC7004 and FAA regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our chemical processes and ensuring that our services meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all department activities and management of department personnel including training, job performance evaluations, attendance monitoring, disciplinary activities, promotions/demotions, etc. as may be required.
- Creates, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and standards that align with company goals in accordance with the requirements of Nadcap, customer requirements, various National Standards & Specifications as well as any State and/or Regulatory requirements.
- Acts as the company’s liaison for the ITAR Import and Export activities and works with the established outside ITAR consultant company as may be required. This includes recordkeeping on all ITAR Import and Export activities.
- Works within the Quality Control Department Leader and Quality Control Specialist to oversee all overall duties in the Quality Control department (inspections, tests, calibration of measurement devices, etc.).
- Works cohesively with Production Management, Process Engineering, and Laboratory Management to assess the various production processes and assisting in any failure analysis and problem solving as needed. Leading and facilitating root cause and correction action investigations.
- Conducts, participates, and supports the necessary actions for preparation of all customers requested audits (desktop and/or on-site) and Nadcap AC7004 and AC7108 audits.
- Investigates customer complaints, determines root cause/corrective action, communicates, and interacts with customers to satisfactorily resolve quality issues when necessary.
- Where necessary, works with the Quality Control Specialist in conducting First Article Inspection Reports (FAI’s / FAIR’s) in accordance with AS9102.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, or Business.
- Minimum of 5 years Quality Management experience.
- Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 or Nadcap AC7004.
- Experience conducting quality audits and implementing effective quality control measures.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and Blueprint Reading.
- Familiarity with project management principles as they relate to quality initiatives.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
