DUTIES
- Deliver fiber bales to the blendline, open bales, load and monitor hoppers.
- Monitor garnetts, lappers, and hoppers to ensure the quality of the fiber web.
- Continuously clean and remove fiber build-up on hoppers, Garnetts, lappers, aprons, shafts, motors, guards, walls, floors, fans, etc.
- Report any safety, mechanical, or quality problems to the Line Operator.
- Conform to all Quality/Safety requirement and procedures.
- Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Process.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Manufacturing experience required
- Non-wovens or textiles experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Attention to detail (e.g., using correct fiber, etc.)
- Good decision-making skills
- Trouble shooting ability
- Ability to work independently
- Self-motivated/adaptable
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and lift 50 + pounds
- Follows directions and instructions well
- Must be able to walk/stand for entire shift, 10-11 hours
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
