Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle with automatic transmission, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Drive assigned routes efficiently, following planned delivery schedules while maintaining flexibility for route adjustments.
- Deliver packages directly to customers’ homes or businesses, providing excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and ensure accurate documentation of all deliveries.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to keep your delivery truck in optimal condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during routes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, ideally with route driving responsibilities in a commercial setting.
- Strong background in customer service, demonstrating professionalism and positive communication skills.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with loading/unloading operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving packages safely and efficiently.
