Join a growing child and adolescent neuropsychology practice on the Upper West Side of New York City. We are seeking a licensed early-career psychologist to conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents.
This is an opportunity for a psychologist with solid assessment training who values ongoing mentorship, thoughtful case consultation, and a warm, collaborative professional community. The practice is grounded in helping children, families, and schools understand each child’s learning, behavioral, and emotional profile and develop practical recommendations that support meaningful progress.
The psychologist will work with a broad range of referrals, including children and adolescents with learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, and autism spectrum disorder. This W-2 position offers a flexible part- or full-time schedule, competitive case-based compensation, consistent referrals, and regular supervision and professional development.
Duties
- Conduct thorough, evidence-based neuropsychological assessments for children and adolescents.
- Write detailed, well-organized, and practical neuropsychological reports.
- Provide feedback sessions that communicate findings and recommendations clearly, compassionately, and accessibly to families.
- Collaborate with parents, schools, therapists, pediatricians, and other professionals to support appropriate interventions, accommodations, and educational planning.
- Participate in regular individual supervision, case consultation, and collaborative discussion of complex assessment cases.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with professional, ethical, and HIPAA requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Licensed psychologist (PhD or PsyD) in good standing in New York State.
- Early-career psychologist with strong training in child and adolescent psychological or neuropsychological assessment.
- Excellent report-writing skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, meaningful, and practical language.
- Ability to build warm, respectful, and effective relationships with children, adolescents, parents, educators, and other professionals.
- Organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to ethical, evidence-based practice.
- Interest in ongoing supervision and feedback and developing advanced expertise in child and adolescent neuropsychological assessment.
