Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment and techniques.
- Conduct detailed floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to ensure surfaces remain spotless and well-maintained.
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks that may involve specialized equipment or cleaning agents to maintain large-scale or high-traffic areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, stairwells, and other public areas to uphold safety standards and aesthetic appeal.
- Assist with light custodial duties such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and minor repairs to support overall facility maintenance.
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others.
- Document completed tasks and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing is advantageous.
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies enhances your ability to perform effectively.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting supports comprehensive site upkeep.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Previous porter or facilities maintenance experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
