Our programs include Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Community Support Services (CCSS), recovery housing, peer support, and wellness-focused services designed to help individuals build meaningful, sustainable lives in recovery.
We are seeking a mission-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our Santa Fe operations while driving strategic expansion into Albuquerque and Gallup over the coming years.
Position Overview
The COO will serve as the operational leader of the organization, ensuring excellence in service delivery, team management, compliance, and financial performance. This individual will work closely with the founders to scale our impact across New Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations of all behavioral health programs.
- Develop systems, policies, and procedures that support sustainable growth.
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid, licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor program performance, quality assurance, and client outcomes.
- Improve operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional client care.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing clinical and administrative teams.
- Supervise program directors, managers, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and mission alignment.
- Lead regular leadership and operational meetings.
Growth & Expansion
- Develop and execute expansion plans for Albuquerque and Gallup.
- Identify facility opportunities, community partnerships, and referral relationships.
- Support contract negotiations and strategic partnerships.
- Build operational infrastructure that can scale across multiple locations.
Financial Management
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and operational performance metrics.
- Monitor revenue cycle performance and operational profitability.
- Identify opportunities for sustainable growth and increased impact.
- Work closely with ownership to achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- 5+ years of executive or senior leadership experience.
- Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, substance use treatment, social services, or related fields.
- Strong operational and financial management skills.
- Experience leading multi-site organizations or expansion projects.
- Knowledge of Medicaid-funded services and healthcare compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to execute and build systems.
