Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a Dietary Aide. In this vital role, you will support the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, food service, and maintaining food safety standards. Duties
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation, ensuring all dietary guidelines are followed
- Prepare and serve food items with precision, demonstrating strong knife skills and culinary techniques
- Handle food safely and hygienically, adhering to all food safety regulations and protocols
- Support catering events and special meal services, ensuring timely delivery and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including food handling stations and utensils
- Serve meals to residents or guests with professionalism and friendliness
- Assist in food inventory management, including storage, rotation, and ordering supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service is advantageous
- Knowledge of menu planning, food handling, and food safety practices is essential
- Background in the food industry or culinary experience will be beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork
