We are looking to add a seasoned Estimator to our team, located in our company headquarters. The individual should have a minimum of 8 years’ experience working for general contractors in private commercial construction, budgeting and bidding tenant improvement and ground up projects across a range of market sectors that align with the type of work we do for our clients. Someone who has seen and worked on lot of different projects but brings and builder mentality and desire to continue to learn and grow with a dynamic group of professional colleagues.

Description/Roles:
At Pacific Construction, the Estimator works closely with the Owner, General Manager, and Director of Construction in the preconstruction budgeting and bidding process while collaborating with business development and project management. The Estimator will be expected to consistently develop competitive, high-quality budgets and proposals and be part of a team that serves that needs of clients and helps to land profitable projects for the company.
Below is a list of the primary roles and responsibilities of the Estimator. Additional responsibilities as requested.
Primary Responsibilities (not limited to):

Pre-Construction/Estimating

Lead estimating; adhering to, improving, enforcing, and teaching processes and procedures

Coordinate and manage the pre-construction process and collaborate with all involved parties

Development of relationships with sub-contractors

Being part of the client relationship team

Review and comprehension of project drawings/plans and specifications

Scope development and clarification, including writing clarifications, qualifications, and exclusions

Schedule and lead pre-construction job walks

Utilization of pre-construction software/tools to create and develop invitations to bid, perform takeoffs, and prepare final budgets/bids

Submission, coordination, distribution, and organization of pre-construction RFIs

Collection, qualification, and organization of bids

Detailed bid leveling and budget development

Preliminary schedule development

Collaborate with business development and marketing team to incorporate any collateral documentation in the bid/proposal package, as per client request

Proposal development and finalization

Coordinate permit process, as per client requests

Participating in client/project interviews and meetings

Distribute and explain scope, budget, client details, etc. to project management team at project start-up meetings

Assist project management team with questions regarding client, bidders, scope, budget, schedule, etc.
