Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated & dependable Barista to join our team long term. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, packaging pastries, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to standard recipes.
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Operate the POS system, including cash handling and processing transactions efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper food handling practices at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance the overall customer experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or café settings is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change accurately.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is preferred, but not required.
