Position Summary
Line cooks are responsible for executing dishes to spec during service while maintaining organization, cleanliness, and awareness of the full line. This position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute all menu items to established recipes and plating standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked station throughout service
- Set up and break down your station properly each shift
- Communicate clearly with chefs and teammates during service
- Work with a sense of urgency while maintaining consistency and accuracy
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards
- Assist with prep as needed to support service and overall kitchen flow
- Maintain awareness of ticket times, pacing, and quality control
- Respect all equipment and maintain a clean and safe workspace
Qualifications
- Previous line cook experience preferred, but not required with the right attitude
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to stay composed under pressure
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen terminology
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
