About Ronnie Grandison Basketball Academy
For over 25 years, RGBA has been a family-oriented sports center providing professional training in basketball, volleyball, and fitness. Our mission is building champions for life through sports. We are dedicated to the positive development of each student, regardless of age or skill level.
Under the leadership of former NBA player Ronnie Grandison, our highly-qualified staff teach solid basketball fundamentals using proven training methods, ensuring your child will successfully compete in team sports—whether it’s for recreational purposes, high school, the collegiate level, or beyond.
Position Overview
We are seeking passionate and dependable Basketball Coaches to join our RG Team. Ideal candidates enjoy working with children and young athletes, thrive in a collaborative coaching environment, and are eager to learn and grow. This role involves teaching basketball fundamentals, fostering character, and contributing to a positive and energetic culture.
Coaching Responsibilities
- Teach basketball fundamentals, skill development, and team concepts to players ages 3–14
- Provide positive, constructive feedback and encouragement
- Collaborate with other coaches to create consistent, high-quality training sessions
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and events
- Communicate professionally with parents and staff

Site Management Responsibilities (FULL TIME SALARIED STAFF)
- Site Management at RGSA is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation, safety, and performance of the facility. This role ensures that all programs, staff, and guests experience a well-run, professional, and welcoming environment aligned with the RGSA mission and standards.
Facility Operations
- Oversee daily opening and closing procedures
- Ensure courts, equipment, restrooms, and common areas are clean, safe, and fully operational
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and vendor services as needed
- Monitor facility capacity, scheduling, and space usage
Safety & Risk Management
- Enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Respond to incidents, injuries, or facility issues promptly and professionally
- Complete incident reports and ensure follow-up actions are taken
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and RGSA policies
Customer Experience
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for parents, athletes, members, and renters
- Resolve customer concerns and escalated issues in a timely manner
- Ensure a positive, respectful, and professional atmosphere throughout the facility
Program & Event Oversight
- Support the execution of practices, leagues, clinics, tournaments, and special events
- Coordinate with coaches and program directors to ensure smooth operations
Administrative & Communication Duties
- Communicate daily updates, issues, and needs to executive management
- Maintain accurate logs related to staffing, incidents, and facility issues
- Assist with onboarding and training of new staff as needed
Brand & Culture Stewardship
- Uphold and model RGSA’s values, professionalism, and “RGSA Way”
- Ensure staff behavior and customer interactions reflect the RGSA brand
- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and high-energy environment
- Ensure schedules are followed and communicated clearly
Qualifications
- Experience playing and/or coaching basketball
- Enjoys working with young athletes and helping them grow
- Dependable, personable, and open to feedback
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check required
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with player development, camps, or clinics
- Coaching certifications or relevant coursework
- Interest in long-term growth within the Academy
