With two positions available, you’ll work closely with a Certified School Nurse and play a critical role in the health and wellness of both primary and elementary-aged students.
Key Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current, active LPN, LVN, or RN license in Pennsylvania
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of common childhood illnesses, medication administration, and emergency response protocols
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to build trust with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid, administer medications, and deliver routine health care per district policies
- Collaborate with the Certified School Nurse to address student health needs across two schools
- Keep accurate health records and documentation
- Support chronic disease management, health screenings, and immunization tracking
- Respond effectively to health emergencies and communicate relevant information with staff, parents, and guardians
- Promote a healthy school environment through education and prevention
