We are seeking an experienced Medical Coder Level 2 with strong knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. The ideal candidate will have professional coding credentials and experience supporting healthcare coding operations, policy implementation, data analysis, and compliance initiatives.
This role is ideal for a certified coding professional who enjoys analyzing medical coding data, improving processes, and ensuring accurate coding practices.
Required Qualifications
- 3–4 years of professional medical coding experience
- Active coding certification required:
- CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
- CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)
- CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist – Physician-Based)
- RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician)
- RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator)
- Active participation or membership with:
- AAPC
- AHIMA
- Strong understanding of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Experience with CPT and HCPCS coding systems
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, coding standards, and compliance requirements
Education Requirements
- RHIT or RHIA degree preferred

- Equivalent professional coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or CCS-PKey Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and validate ICD coding assignments for accuracy
- Support coding policy and procedure implementation
- Provide coding expertise for ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and related coding systems
- Monitor coding reports and identify discrepancies or trends
- Collaborate with teams to resolve coding-related issues
- Ensure coding practices align with healthcare guidelines and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate coding documentation and records
- Prepare reports, summaries, and data analysis findings
- Assist with process improvement initiatives related to coding operations
Required Skills

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
