Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide high-quality, personalized care to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare, with experience across various medical settings including hospital, outpatient, and post-acute care environments. As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting clients’ daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being through attentive and professional care.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance comfort and independence.
- Provide medication reminders and support adherence to prescribed treatment plans under supervision.
- Monitor clients’ health status, observe changes, and communicate relevant information to healthcare professionals promptly.
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs tailored to individual health requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to client care to ensure a comfortable living space.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an In Home Caregiver or in similar healthcare roles within hospital medicine or outpatient settings.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures, geriatrics, post-acute care, and sub-acute care practices.
- Experience working in Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma center environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) procedures is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, and teaching hospital environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and families.
