Cashier / Customer Service Representative
The ideal candidate is confident, reliable, honest, and comfortable working directly with customers. You must be able to communicate clearly, handle payments accurately, maintain a clean work environment, and represent the Mi Barrio Exotics brand professionally.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
- Operate the cash register and process cash, credit card, and tap-to-pay transactions
- Assist customers with product questions and recommendations
- Verify valid government-issued identification and enforce the 21+ age requirement
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances
- Keep the checkout counter, displays, and store clean and organized
- Restock merchandise and monitor inventory levels
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws
- Help prevent theft, loss, and unauthorized transactions
- Complete opening and closing duties as assigned
- Work closely with management and other team members
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Previous cashier, retail, sales, or customer service experience is preferred
- Strong communication and people skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Honest and comfortable handling money
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must maintain a clean, professional appearance
- Basic knowledge of hemp and THCA products is helpful but not required
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
